::Hammamet (Arabic: ŰÙ Ű§Ù Ű§ŰȘâ  ងamÄmÄt) is a town in Tunisia. Thanks to its beaches it is a popular destination for swimming and water sports. It is the first tourist destination in Tunisia. It is located in the south east of the northern peninsula of Cap Bon in the Governorate of Nabeul, on the northern edge of the Gulf of Hammamet. I have visited this place.its one of the we'll known and popular place.the locals are good pepole. They help tourisits.the beach and atmosphere are very nice.if u know the local language it will be an advantage. The country is not expensive to live.

::Do not be put off visiting the town, the locals are very friendly, it does help if you can speak French & at least be polite in Arabic, in the medina you will be hustled to buy a carpet or two, the locals know it is one in a million chance that you will actually purchase anything, but they like to haggle, my wife speaks fluent French & having spent 2 years in Libya my Arabic was sufficient if a bit rusty, so we had no trouble, in the end if the traders saw us coming we would be invited in to the shop and offered mint tea during negotiations which they knew would come to nothing, very refreshing it is too.

::Ohhhhhh Hammamet.
